Project Overview
Sealevel Construction led the Morgan City Pump Station project as the general contractor. The project consisted of:
- driving sheet piles of various lengths
- driving (73) 14 square inch foundation concrete piles 83’ in length in the sump
- pouring a seal slab and sump slab which consisted of 360 cubic yards of concrete
- forming and pouring all concrete shear walls and upper deck with the use of EFCO forms, which was collectively 812 cubic yards of concrete
- driving (12) 60’ timber piles along the bank and (64) 14 square inch concrete piles of various lengths
- forming and pouring of the discharge flume area which consisted of 4” (1,799 SY) & 6” (675 SY) slope paving
- construction of pump station metal building
- electrical scope performed by Sealevel-affiliated company, Rodrigue's Electrical Service
- fabrication and installation of discharge pipe
- disassembling the pumps and engines from the existing pump station and relocated them to the new pump station
- subcontracted Sealevel-affiliated company, Mike Evans Crane and Equipmetn Services for mechanical maintenance of engines
- dirt work, rip rap and limestone work on site at various stages of the project
