Sealevel Construction was awarded the general contract for the Yokely Levee extension project. This impressive removable floodwall system is the largest of its kind in the state of Louisiana and is comprised of 2 floodwalls spanning 820 feet in total length along Bayou Teche in Franklin, La. This leak-tight, removable floodwall system of 450 linear feet can be installed in less than 3 hours with a small crew. To construct this structure, the Sealevel team:

• installed over 1,000 linear feet of sheet pile and tie-in wall
• installed over 6,000 linear feet of 12” diameter pipe piles
• cast-in-place approximately 250 cubic yards of concrete for T-wall foundations, which included the anchors for the removable floodwall system. 
• constructed approximately 1 mile of earthen levee
• installed 7 new stop gates for floodwater control.
